"Nature's Super Food" is the catchphrase on tins of HEINZ Baked Beans, and for baked beans in general this is certainly the case. They're low in fat, high in protein and iron, and they're an excellent source of dietary fibre. Serve them on some wholemeal or wholegrain toast and you've got a great high-fibre, high-protein meal suitable for both kids and adults.
The main downside of baked beans is that the tomato sauce they're served in can be quite high in sodium. HEINZ Baked Beans contain moderate amounts of salt, but if you're trying to limit the amount of salt your child is getting, there are other brands and products that contain less - including HEINZ 'salt reduced' and 'no added salt' varieties.
