What we say
According to the label, MAGGI 2 Minute Noodles contain 50% less saturated fat and 25% less sodium than the average for other 2-minute-noodle brands. They're certainly not as horrendously salty as you might expect. But a full 380g serving (the size once they're made up with hot water according to the directions) provides 1010mg of sodium –– still a very significant amount, particularly for a child.
If you skip, or even halve, the flavour sachet and bulk it up with some vegies when you make the soup, then it could be a reasonable meal or after school snack for hungry kids.
Additives listed: Noodles: Antioxidant (306), Mineral salts (451, 501, 500), Vegetable gum (412). Flavour mix sachet: Maltodextrin, Flavour enhancers (621, 635), Mineral salt (508), Natural colours (100, 150a), Citric acid (330).
