What we say

TIP TOP SUNBLEST Soft White Bread is low in fat and sugar but like many breads it also has a moderate amount of sodium (salt).

White breads and refined cereals are lower in fibre than their wholemeal or wholegrain equivalents, and this bread is no exception. Parents often find that their kids prefer to eat white bread but it is important to introduce your kids to high-fibre multigrain and wholemeal varieties.

If you're making a sandwich with white bread you can boost the fibre content by including vegetables such as tomato, lettuce or grated carrot. Or try using one slice of white bread and one slice of wholemeal or wholegrain bread as a compromise.

Additives listed: Emulsifiers (481, 472e, 471).
